BLOG 6 - Postgraduates Studies

Actually I have not really thought much about doing a postgraduate degree, at least not for the moment, in a way I think I see it as something still far away, maybe because I still have a couple of years to finish my undergraduate degree.  I have always considered the postgraduate as something to be able to specialize in something or to be able to somehow update the knowledge that we acquired when studying the career, it is like a kind of complement to what you were taught previously.   That is why I think that the right time to do a postgraduate degree would be some time after having studied the career, after having acquired some experience in the career, to be able to complement what you will learn in this, I think that in a way if you study immediately after finishing the career, although it will look good on the resume, what good will it do if you do not know how to put into practice everything you have learned. Besides, this way you can earn some money before you continue studying

Academic Challenges 2021

This academic year has been quite complicated, we have had to continue with the online classes, since there are still capacity limitations and there are still probabilities of covid infections, despite the vaccines and all the measures that have been taken. I think it is really good that despite the pandemic and everything that has happened we have been able to continue with the classes, plus we save the time of having to go to the university in person, at first I did not think it was a bad idea, despite the complications that this brought, It was a good answer taking into account that it would be temporary for the covid, but I feel that at this point we are starting to feel the exhaustion, not being able to go to the university and not meeting our classmates in person besides being most of the time in front of a screen is really exhausting us, both students and professors. I am not a very sociable person, it is hard for me to approach people since I am quite shy, and being behind a sc

My dream job

When I was little I wanted to be different things, I remember I wanted to be a doctor, but when I got to middle school it didn't call my attention, but architecture did, I loved to think about the things that could be done, I never thought I would study it, it was a very distant dream, at that time I started reading about psychology, I liked it a lot, so I thought I would study it, but I thought if I saw myself working in it, I realized that no, I liked reading it and until now I still like it, but I don't see myself working in something like that. I started to look for careers of my interest, I really like social sciences and art, so among my options were political science, public administration or design, I saw the pros and cons and I chose public administration.   Already in third and fourth I said I was going to study public administration, then at school they began to take us to university fairs, there I asked for all the careers I mentioned before, including architecture

The Role of Technology in my Profession and Life

Personally I remember when I was little I don't have the need to use technology, I remember going out to play almost every day with the other kids in the street, but as I grew up it became more and more normalized and I needed it to do many things, young people today we are used to that everything works with technology or that whatever we want to look for we will find it there.  I do it sometimes unconsciously, my cell phone is almost all day with me, whether I'm using it or not, I always try to keep it close, but I think that in a way it is normal these days, technology has been advancing very fast and everything around us has done so with it. In architecture today technology is also used a lot, in the classes every day we use more and more programs that in a way are to make things easier for us, as time goes by we continue to implement more and more things in technology and especially in this time of pandemic we have seen how important it has become in our lives, perhaps at a

The Best Concert/Holiday Ever...

In 2019 I went to WYD in Panama, it is a meeting of young Catholics, where people from all over the world go, we prepared for a long time. We were 12 students and 3 teachers. The first week we stayed in a school in a town called Cuipo, the people taught us about their culture, I went to concerts, I went to a lake, we went to an iguana sanctuary and a coffee plantation, the last days I stayed in the house of a beautiful family who opened the doors of their house to sleep comfortable.  The second week we went to Panama City, slept in a university, exchanged presents with people from different places, went to expositions, had the opportunity to have one of our partners baptized in that city with a very significant ceremony for all of us, went to a meeting with the pope and camped in a park.  The last 3 days when WYD was over we went to a beach called Portobelo, we snorkeled, kayaked and they took us to see a very beautiful island.  It was a beautiful experience, my heart is full of unforg

A country/place I would love visiting.

China, Thailand and  South Korea, I am a student of architecture so I think it is normal that in a career where we see things from different countries and different times, I want to travel to many parts of the world, but taking out all these places that interest me for its architecture. I would like to go to Korea, China and Thailand, called my attention because I am a fan of some series of these countries, thanks to this I have a great interest in these cultures and their languages, I would like to learn at some moment. if you like bl I recommend "The Untamed" is a serie based on the BL novel Mo Dao Zu Shi In particular I would like to go to the Buddhist temples in Thailand,I would like to go to Korea in spring, I have an obsession with cherry trees and in this place in spring you can visit very beautiful parks where there are many of them, also places related to some kpop groups that I listen to.  Lately thanks to some series and things I read, I am very interested in the a
